given i'm an i-think 5'10-ish i-think trans-girl i imagine these costumes aren't designed with in mind and how tight the only girl costume i own fits me (a sailor moon outfit i thought for almost a year didn't fit me at all !), i was really worried that this costume would at best be a tight squeeze for me even at size xl, and just plain not fit otherwise.
well, part of that was because i just don't fully know my own measurements and i worry a lot, but this outfit sailed far past any and all of my expectations ! it fits *perfectly* - every bit of it is totally comfortable, not tight and not feeling too big either, and it's cozy to wear ! i'm not great with tying smaller strings so the headdress and stocking trims will take some getting used to, but everything here feels as it should and i couldn't be happier !
the materials are lovely, too ! the stockings are made of an adorably cozy material that's nicely opaque, they're maybe some of my favorites i own, and everything else feels and looks right too. the pattern on the tie is the one thing i'd say doesn't look literally-perfect (not because of any shape imperfection, mine just looked the slightest bit peeled-y). one thing i wasn't expecting but adore is the whatever-it's-called that's worn under the dress and keeps it puffed up and round, which is wonderful and really turns an already great and accurate dress into a perfect replica ! it's a beautiful replica of celeste's wonderful outfit, and i feel like this really was designed with a lot of love !
of course, costumes are a case-by-case basis and no two people are of identical shape, but for me, this costume feels like it's just right in every way, it fits perfectly and is super duper comfy ! it's really great ! <3
